Overview
The Mental Health Peer Program (MHPP) at 91ÊÓƵ is the bridge between students and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) clinicians. We aim to help students feel supported and comfortable when seeking help for their academic success and well-being. Through providing free outreach and private drop-in peer coaching to 91ÊÓƵ students. All students, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin, who are interested in the Mental Health Peer Program are welcome.

Monday - Thursday, 10:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Our 1:1 peer coaching sessions focus on coping with stress and anxiety. These sessions aim to provide you with a safe and supportive environment to discuss your feelings, experiences, and challenges related to stress and anxiety in your university life. Our peer counselors actively listen, offer empathy, and provide helpful insights and coping strategies to assist you in managing these emotions effectively. Areas of focus include:
- Reduce test and presentation anxiety
- Improve campus belonging
- Discover and improve self-care techniques
- Reduce academic social anxiety as it relates to talking to professors and participating in class
- Discuss and reduce school anxiety related to living away from home
