91视频

Oct. 7, 2024

Dear Students and Colleagues,

I am excited to share that after more than nearly two years of discussion about developing a Strategic Plan for Cal State Channel Islands, I am launching our 2030+ Strategic Planning Committee which will be led by Drs. Jessica Lavariega Monforti, Interim Provost, Eboni Ford Turnbow, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Sue Andrzejewski, Dean of the MVS School of Business & Economics. A 2030+ Strategic Planning Steering Committee, which is scheduled to work from October 2024 through March 2025, will be appointed and announced soon.

The first task for the 2030+ Committee leadership team is to share for your review and feedback a draft vision statement which will not only drive 91视频 for 2030+ strategic planning efforts this Fall, but also our collective work for the decade ahead:

CSU Channel Islands is a transformational, educational force whose diverse graduates emerge as leaders, driving human, economic, and environmental well-being and justice in the Central Coast and beyond.

Please provide your feedback on this vision statement via this . This link will be open through Monday, Oct. 14. Additional opportunities for discussion before finalizing a new vision statement will be provided as strategic planning efforts continue through the Fall semester.

This vision statement, not yet finalized, is one outcome of more than two years鈥 work. It attempts to communicate my 鈥淥ne Health鈥 vision for 91视频鈥檚 future (without needing to use that not-widely-known phrase). It is informed by brand market research conducted by ADV in Spring 2022, the creation of a in Summer 2023, the from their work in Fall 2024, and our WSCUC action letter from Summer 2024. (You may recall that it was the timing of our WSCUC Thematic Pathways to Reaffirmation experience culminating in Spring 2024 which necessitated the delay of our next full strategic planning effort and the creation of 91视频鈥檚 Strategic Directions 2023-25 Bridge Plan.) The draft vision statement was created by a team that I appointed in Summer 2024[1] to synthesize these data points over the last two+ years鈥 worth of work.

Feedback gathered through the Qualtrics survey linked above will inform first-round revisions to the vision statement as our first strategic planning effort for 2030+.

Sincerely
Richard Yao, Ph.D.
President
