Eligibility

  • Sophomore or junior standing while abroad.
  • Current 91ÊÓƵ student in good academic standing at time of application.
  • Have 7 or more courses (minimum 21 units) remaining in their degree plan. Students may not be in their last semester during the program period.
  • Have never studied in Japan prior.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher (students with below a 2.75 GPA should contact the Study Abroad Advisor at courtney.gross@csuci.edu for guidance).
  • Japanese language skills are not required although students are encouraged to take Japanese language during their time abroad.

Housing

The main campus is located in Osaka, often referred to as Higashiosaka Campus, which is located fifteen minutes away from the business center of Osaka and only one hour away from Kyoto, Nara, or Kobe by train. .
