Dear Campus Community,
The brush fire that started early this morning 1.2 miles from the campus off Potrero Road has been contained and the Ventura County Fire Department is concluding their clean-up efforts at the site.
Classes will remain virtual today; however, classes and campus operations will resume as scheduled tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 15, as air quality levels are expected to be within a healthy range.
University staff are conducting building walk-throughs and will provide mitigation efforts to help dissipate any remaining smoke smell, so we have a safe learning and working environment tomorrow.
Supervisors will continue to communicate today with their employees for continued remote work.
