CSU Channel Islands is actively engaged in a CSU Chancellor’s Office initiative to upgrade the CI Records system to a new version. During this upgrade, Common Human Resources System (CHRS) will also be unavailable. This is a required CSU systemwide initiative to maintain the systems’ software support requirement. The updates will help CSU Channel Islands and all of the CSU institutions better serve the needs of students, faculty, and staff.
Below is a timeline showing the important phases of the CI Records system PeopleTools 8.60 upgrade project:
- CMS Upgrades PSA environment – Pass 1: July 15, 2024 – July 22, 2024 (Completed)
- Campus ITS Dev/Build: July 22, 2022 – Sept 13, 2024 (Completed)
- Production Code Freeze: Sept 16, 2024 – October 31 (In-progress)
- Functional User Testing: Sept 16, 2024 – October 04, 2022 (In-progress)
- Move to Production: October 19, 2024, 6pm – October 20, 2024, 3pm
- User Validation: October 20, 2024, from 10am to 2pm
- Go/No-Go Decision: October 20, 2024, at 2pm
- Release production jobs to catch up: October 20, 2024, at 3pm
- Official Go-Live October 21, 2024, at 5am
